At CS we're a small team executing MEGA projects across HUGE areas, and we would never have been able to achieve our ambitious goals (like propagating and reforesting 15,000+ seedlings of the high-value Almaciga tree, OR establishing Cleopatra's Needle Critical Habitat, now the Philippines' BIGGEST Critical Habitat!) without the VITAL contributions of our generous volunteers who are as passionate as we are to save Mama Earth from our climate and biodiversity crises!
At CS our Staff are executing myriad tasks on any given day: facilitating community meetings & doing documentation, managing social media campaigns & doing layouts, leading technical forest expeditions, conducting scientific & social research and writing reports, visiting politicians & lobbying, public speaking at advocacy & outreach events, writing organisational policy, and pitching to international donors, among others. It's a lot, we need your help!
Through our International Student Program, CS gives Students from around the globe the opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm regarding sustainable development in their field of science. While working hard on their thesis or internship Students are contributing to our Mission to conserve the Philippines' last remaining 3% of pristine rainforest through legal establishment of protected areas. We achieve this by providing the students with the means for a thesis, internship or a voluntary position in one of the projects of our organisation, or other local organisations and government agencies.
We started this program to form a bridge between the theoretical knowledge of science across the globe with the vast traditional and cultural knowhow of Filipino culture. Students work in paired teams, a local student with an international student, thereby maximizing the transfer of knowledge and increasing the potential success of the joint project.
Students will carry out their project in Palawan.
